New flights could offer opportunity to visit Croatia and Austria on same trip
15 December 2009People considering booking a Croatian villa for their holiday next summer may be interested to know that they could combine their stay with a trip to Austria after an airline promised to deliver more flights.
Austrian carrier InterSky has stated it intends to run about ten per cent more flights in 2010 - many of which will be to Croatia, according to the Croatian Times.
That could make a double-header of Croatia and Austria in one trip a feasible prospect for adventurous tourists.
Claus Bernatzik, chief executive officer at InterSky, told the newspaper the increase in journeys will be made possible by "strict management of expenses and an increase in the companys efficiency".
Among the destinations likely to be served by the extra flights is the Croatian port town of Pula, which could be the ideal location for people searching for a beachside break.
Earlier this week British budget airline easyJet announced it is to start new routes between Split and Berlin, Rome and Amsterdam - further increasing the travel options for those on a Croatian holiday.
