New flights to Croatia could make it easier to enjoy a Balkan break
14 December 2009New flights to Croatia from across Europe could make the Balkan country more accessible to millions of tourists.
Budget airline easyJet has announced that routes to Split will start in 2010 from a host of continental cities - such as Rome, Amsterdam and Basel.
That could make a Croatian holiday an easier and cheaper prospect for anybody residing in those locations or for Britons wishing to use easyJet to complete a holiday double-header.
Paul Simmons, easyJet's UK regional general manager, said: "easyJet is committed to expansion and providing greater access to our famously low fares and convenient services from your local airport."
Travellers could use the new flights to Croatia as a chance to combine a beach holiday on the famous Dalmatian coast with a visit to world-famous cities such as Berlin, which is also to be linked to Split thanks to easyJet.
People in Scotland could also take a budget Croatian break when a new route from Edinburgh to Dubrovnik, run by Jet2.com, opens in 2010.
