New routes offered by airlines to meet demand for Croatia holidays
22 April 2010The increasing popularity of a Croatia holiday means it is now easier to secure a flight to the country, as airlines put on extra routes to deal with demand.
Meri Matesic, director at the Croatian National Tourist Office in London, says a number of new services have been added to timetables in recent months.
"All the existing tour operators and local carriers are adding some new destinations or new flights," she notes.
Among these is easyJet, which has recently announced the inclusion of flights between London Stansted and Split and Dubrovnik to its offerings.
Budget airlines are often popular with visitors to the country, as with less money spent on travel more of the budget can sometimes be used for a luxury Croatian villa or apartment in which to stay.
Tourists in the north of England have also been catered for with a new route between Manchester and the Adriatic coast launched.
