New routes to Croatia could make a Baltic holiday easier for millions
06 October 2009A dream holiday in Croatia may be more convenient for millions of families in north-west England after budget airline Jet2.com announced new routes to Dubrovnik and Split.
From April 2010, passengers will be able to fly directly from Manchester to the Croatian cities.
Dubrovnik and Split will each take two flights a week from the Lancashire airport with fares starting as low as £100 return.
The flights to Dubrovnik will take off on Thursdays and Sundays and to Split on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com, said: "Our continued investment will see us increase our fleet at Manchester quite significantly and create hundreds of new jobs."
News of the routes comes just two weeks after Jet2.com unveiled a new service between Edinburgh, Scotland and Dubrovnik which is also set to come into operation in April.
Jet2.com currently offers a service to 19 european destinations from Manchester, with that number set to increase to 28 when all its confirmed new routes are operating early next year.
