Old Town offers best Dubrovnik accommodation, say web users
15 April 2010One user of the TripAdvisor website who is searching for accommodation in Dubrovnik has been advised by fellow travellers to stay in the Old Town.
Contributor Susiebfd asked forum members where she should stay when she visits the ancient walled city in August.
A number of users offered responses, many highlighting the Old Town as the best spot to be from which to explore Dubrovnik.
One individual - Tihi33 - suggested the quality of hotels and Croatian villas close to the centre is of a high standard.
However, while the Old Town appears to be the undoubted top choice for those staying within the city's walls, one person - using the name WorldEconomy - stated tourists with a car may wish to base themselves further away.
Popular areas include nearby peninsulas and mountains, which offer a more rural experience of Croatia - all within a short drive of its most famous and historic city.
