One month of festival fun on Hvar holiday remaining
01 October 2010Tourists planning a holiday in Croatia will have to book for this month if they want to enjoy a leading festival while they are in the country.
The Adriatic island of Hvar hosts a summer-long celebration each year that is set to come to a close on October 31st.
Included in the programme of events is a series of theatre troupes showing their skills, performances by local musicians and folklore ensembles that originate in the country.
With bright skies, beautiful beaches and crystal-clear skies likely, a trip to one of Croatia's islands could be the ideal way to experience both native culture and traditions as well as autumn sunshine.
Hvar is particularly popular with artists, many of whom feel it has a special charm that aids creativity.
The island is located off the southern coast of Croatia and holidaymakers can catch a ferry that takes them direct to the main town from Split.
