Peace painting on offer to Croatia tourists
31 March 2010Fans of art should book a trip to Croatia if they intend to view a unique painting.
The piece - entitled The Heart of Croatia - is the result of a series of depictions by acclaimed artist Potenza, the Croatian Times reports.
By using the colours, symbols and patterns of every country's flag, Potenza put together the work, which was completed as part of the Hearts of the World project.
"The project's aim is to present a gift of the painting of each heart to each country as a symbol of peace," the newspaper explains.
It is noted the artist's aim is to have his paintings permanently on display in every nation.
But it may be the piece hung in Croatia that attracts attention from those looking to combine a passion for art with a break beside the Adriatic coast.
