Perfect weather for skiing holiday in Croatia
03 December 2010The time may be right for many to book a holiday in Croatia, one of Europe's best up-and-coming ski destinations.
A significant drop in temperatures across the country this weekend will lead to freezing conditions, according to a report by Vecernji List, cited by the Croatian Times.
One result of this could be an increase in snowfall, providing a welcome top-up to levels on the pistes of the Balkan nation.
The news source predicts the temperature plummet, which is due to occur on Sunday (December 5th), will trigger readings of below -10 degrees Celsius on thermometers.
Meanwhile, those looking to book accommodation in Croatia for a winter sports break later in the season will be pleased to hear more below-average temperatures are expected in December and January.
Jutarnji List, in an article summarised by the same newspaper, last week noted snow was also forecast for large parts of the country last weekend.
