Plenty of day trips on offer from Dubrovnik, says forum user

Taking a longer-than-average Dubrovnik holiday is a decision that will pay off, according to one online contributor.

Some people may feel a fortnight in one place is a long time - such as one user of the TripAdvisor website, who asks his peers for advice on what to do for that period of time.

Another forum member, known as micdev, assures the holidaymaker there is plenty to do in Dubrovnik for two weeks - thanks largely to the array of exciting day trips that are accessible from the city.

Micdev admits it is a long time to stay in one place, but as there are so many things to do and see the tourist will "be okay".

For example, taking a day trip to Mostar, Montenegro and Cavtat are all realistic and interesting options.

Shorter trips are also available, such as those by boat to the Adriatic islands just off the city's coast.

And those with a car may wish to even visit other Croatian cities, such as Split, the user advises.
