Provider of flights to Croatia celebrates milestone
14 April 2010A budget airline offering travel to Croatia has celebrated a memorable milestone this week.
Jet2.com welcomed its 20 millionth passenger on board one of its flights from Manchester Airport yesterday (April 13th).
Keith and Julie Moffat from Manchester were given a champagne reception and return tickets to all of the 29 destinations served by the airline.
After five successive years of growth, a new journey being offered in 2010 by the carrier - possibly in a bid to maintain its current rate of expansion - is between the city in north-west England and Dubrovnik on the Adriatic coast.
Ian Doubtfire, managing director of Jet2.com, says: "Ten brand new routes from Manchester, two new aircraft and a projected one million passengers this year are some fantastic stats and underline our growth and commitment to this airport."
Fares to Dubrovnik start at £39.99 each way and will open later this month.
