Range of flights to Croatia set to increase

The timetable of flights to Croatia looks set to expand after new links with three European cities were established.

Croatia Airlines is to offer services between the ancient city of Dubrovnik in the country's southernmost enclave to the Greek capital of Athens and the romantic Italian city of Venice, states the Croatian Times, based on a report by Slobodna Dalmacija.

It follows news of British Airways' decision to start up a route between London and Dubrovnik, which will run for four weeks during the winter season.

The flights to Venice will run twice a week, while there will be three journeys to Athens, the news source explains.

Such services could create an opportunity for people who are heading to Croatia for a holiday to add another destination to their itinerary.

Those seeking a low-cost option for flights to Croatia from the UK may wish to consider budget carriers easyJet and Ryanair, both of which travel to the country.
