Sailing between Croatian islands is top thing to do on holiday, says writer
06 May 2010People heading to Croatia in the coming months on holiday have been advised of the top things to do in the country by a travel writer.
Daniel Landon, in his piece for the tourist magazine TNT, names his number one activity on the Dalmatian coast as sailing between the islands.
He notes it is one of the more relaxing trips on offer in Europe - particularly during the summer months when the sun beats down on the crystal-clear waters.
Mr Landon advised spending about a week venturing between the hundreds of islands by boat, stopping during the day to check out different places and then mooring in a harbour each night.
He adds: "You'll have plenty of time to sit on the deck of the boat and simply do nothing, aside from jumping in for a swim."
Some of the most popular islands visitors may like to explore include Hvar and Brac, just off the coast of Split.
