Seaside villa in Croatia may be perfect base for exploring Dalmatian coast
03 August 2010With so much to explore, visitors may wish to book the perfect base in the shape of a seaside villa in Croatia prior to arriving in the country.
Tom Hall, travel editor at Lonely Planet, points out Croatia offers a "great rocky coastline" as well as "lots of good forestry" to be discovered.
It may be that a coastal route, taking in some of the beautiful scenery and historic towns on the way, is ideal for those who like to explore by foot.
"There is a good mix of history and activities with seaside scenery – and it is easy to get around by ferry or by bus," the tourism expert states.
Taking the ferry, for example, could lead travellers to the islands that sit in the Adriatic Sea, where further beaches, countryside and attractions are to be found.
Among the largest and most popular islands are the likes of Korcula, Brac and Hvar - all of which are perfect for day trips from the mainland.
