Share Croatia holiday with John Malkovich this September

Holidaymakers who head to Croatia later this summer are set to have the opportunity to rub shoulders with the likes of John Malkovich.

Meri Matesic, director at the Croatia National Tourist Office in London, says the American actor, director and producer is to head to the Julian Rachlin and Friends concert.

The event, which takes place in early September, is traditionally attended by a host of famous musicians, who gather to enjoy classic sounds from pianists, cellists and violinists.

Malkovich has become a regular attendee at the annual festival, which is hosted in the heart of Dubrovnik.

The star may visit as much for the quality of accommodation in Dubrovnik and the relaxed atmosphere in the ancient city as the music itself.

Last year, renowned Spanish composer Alberto Iglesias was at the Julian Rachlin and Friends concert.

Dubrovnik is served with flights from various UK airports by British Airways, easyJet and Flybe.
