Spiritual centre may lure tourists to Croatia
21 June 2010Tourism chiefs in Zagreb may be hoping a spiritual cafe in the city will tempt a number of religious travellers into booking a holiday in Croatia.
Zagreb Tourist Board is advising people interested in the spiritual world to head to Jedro, a catering facility that has opened close to a church, explains the Croatian Times.
Drinks and snacks at the cafe are paid for by prayers with a Coca-Cola said to cost five Hail Mary's and a coffee equivalent to three Lord's Prayers.
Such is the popularity of the facility it has already grown from six tables to more than 20, capable of hosting up to 80 people, the newspaper reports.
As well as religion, Zagreb is also noted for its history and could present those interested in the past with a plethora of activities to enjoy while on a break in the city.
It is the capital of Croatia and boasts a population of about a million.
