Stay in Croatia 'is a dream' for explorer
19 May 2010An explorer spent a period of time staying in Croatia as part of a television programme that detailed the Mediterranean Sea.
The show, which aired last Saturday (May 15th), featured Rick Steves travelling the Dalmatian coast, taking in spots such as Dubrovnik and Rovinj, reports KPBS.
He sailed from "dreamy Dubrovnik", located in the south of the country, up the shoreline towards the Adriatic's hundreds of islands.
But Mr Steves' expedition in Croatia was not entirely water-based, with the publication noting he travelled inland to hike through the picturesque Plitvice Lakes National Park.
Tourists planning a stay in Croatia may find the activities demonstrated by the presenter rank highly on their list of things to do in the country.
Many visitors suggest Croatia is a destination for everyone, as its offering of immaculate coast and idyllic national parks within a few miles of each other make it difficult for even the most stubborn of travellers to complain.
