Sven Goran Eriksson 'enjoying holiday in Croatia'
24 August 2010Ex-England manager Sven Goran Eriksson is enjoying a break in accommodation in Croatia ahead of an engagement today (August 24th).
The Swedish tactician is set to open a Youth Sport Games – International Days, a sporting event taking place in Split, reports the Croatian Times.
It means Eriksson has the chance to unwind for a few days on a short holiday in a luxury villa in Croatia that includes the high-profile launch.
"Youth sporting events are a really positive initiative and mean a lot to young people," the coach is quoted as saying by the newspaper.
Eriksson will spend time in Split as part of his role as event ambassador, where he could walk on the sun-kissed promenade, shop in the Old Town or take a ferry to neighbouring islands.
As England manager, he led the nation to the 2002 and 2006 World Cups, while he was in charge of the Ivory Coast at the recent tournament in South Africa.
