Theatre festival set to entertain Croatia holidaymakers
09 December 2010People who have taken flights to Croatia in order to stay in one of the country's most beautiful resorts on the Dalmatian coast could take in a theatre festival in May.
The International Festival of Small Stage Theatre is scheduled to be held in the town of Rijeka and will feature independent amateur dramatic groups from around Europe.
A number of different venues around the location are opened for thespians to show off their skills, much to the delight of those who have visited the area.
The festival was founded in 1994 and is partially funded by the Croatian House of Culture, although revenue from box office sales is also a factor now the event enjoys international status.
Another reason to visit Rijeka this winter could come in the form of its annual carnival, due to take place over the coming months, while a similar celebration is held in the ancient city of Dubrovnik.
