Thousands expected for Zagreb film festival
05 February 2009Potentially 20,000 people or more are expected to descend on Zagreb for the city's upcoming film festival.
The fifth annual International Documentary Film Festival, or ZagrebDox, will feature more than 120 productions of both local and foreign origin.
Over 20,000 movie lovers attended 2008's event - up from 6,000 in its first year - and there is no reason to suggest that just as many, if not more, will make the journey to the Croatian capital this time.
The centrepiece of the week-long showcase will be a presentation of Testimony, which landed top honours at the highly-respected television award ceremony Prix Europa.
This year the festival will also feature a select few documentaries produced from other regions of the world, including the UK's Rough Aunties, Germany's Kassim, the Dream and the US-made Valentino.
ZagrebDox takes place between February 23rd and March 1st at the city's Zagreb Student Centre.
