Tourists advised not to miss "breathtaking" experience on Dubrovnik holiday
20 August 2010Travellers preparing for a late-summer holiday in Dubrovnik are among those urged to try out a "breathtaking" attraction in the ancient city.
The Dubrovnik Tourist Board notes the cable car that runs from the Old Town to the top of neighbouring Mount Srdj offers "stunning coastal sights and magnificent sunsets".
Whether it is a clear view of the Adriatic Sea, a trip to see the sun fall or a night visit to witness the lights of Dubrovnik, taking the cable car is perhaps one thing not to miss while in Croatia.
"Upon reaching the top, take time and enjoy the unique panoramic view, take pictures, have a snack, shop or just relax," the board advises.
For an alternative view of Dubrovnik, holidaymakers may wish to head out onto the turquoise waters of the Adriatic on one of the numerous local ferry services.
Renovation of the cable car was completed earlier this summer after it had previously fallen into disrepair.
