Tourists in Croatia could benefit from exhibition extension
04 December 2009A popular art exhibition in Zagreb has been extended due to popular demand - which could be good news for travellers planning a visit to the Croatian capital.
The Zagreb - Munich showing at the Art Pavilion is now set to run through to January 31st, the Croatian Times has reported.
Much of the work available to view was completed by almost 100 established Croatian painters working in Munich's art school and has been gathered from museums across Europe in order to form the display.
More than 10,000 visitors have visited the exhibition already, which has prompted the decision to delay its closure, states the newspaper.
It is being run jointly between the Art Pavilion and the Croatian Institute of Art History as a celebration of the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich project.
The work of Ukrainian artist Oksana Veber is also being displayed in Croatia at the moment, in an exhibition at the Zadar Glass Museum which ends on December 24th.
