Tourists set to travel to Croatia for Prints exhibition
19 April 2010Art lovers have been handed a six-week window in which to book a Croatia holiday should they wish to attend an exhibition.
The display of prints by Spanish artist Francisco Jose de Goya will be held in Split from May 15th, the Croatian Times reports.
Entitled Prints, it will feature a number of copper etchings that could interest fans of the slightly unusual looking for a break.
Head of the Gallery of Fine Arts in Split Bozo Majstrorovic tells the newspaper of his belief that the Croatian city will become a hotspot for culture and arts over the coming months and years.
The quality of the exhibition is perhaps underlined by the fact that many of the pieces have come from the prestigious Prints and Drawings collection at Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule in Zurich.
People considering travelling to Split may be pleased to know that, according to a recent report by Guide2Croatia, the ancient city will receive flights with more than 1.53 million available seats this year.
