Travel to Croatia for Grand Ball

With the Grand Ball of the City of Varazdin confirmed for February 4th and 5th, party-goers may wish to start putting in place their plans to travel to Croatia.

The Croatian National Tourist Board suggests the event is one where ladies dress up in "gorgeous" gowns, while gentlemen appear in the smartest dinner jackets, perhaps emphasising the quality of the engagement.

Guests will be invited to dance to the tuneful sounds of a big band, before sitting back and enjoying some of the local delicacies.

"It is that night of dancing, glitter and luxury that will keep bringing you back to this charming city," the organisation states.

With classic dances and great company on the menu, it may be an event that Britons who love a ball cannot afford to miss out on.

Other dates to put in the diary for regular travellers to Croatia include those of the upcoming carnivals in Rijeka and Dubrovnik.
