Travel to Croatia for 'beautiful country with great wine'
09 November 2010People who travel to Croatia can expect to find an aesthetically pleasing country with a fantastic range of food and drink on offer.
That is the view of journalists Mike DeSimon and Jeff Jenssen, who have recently completed a seven-day tour of the nation for leading industry magazine Wine Enthusiast, according to an article by the portal Business that was summarised by the Croatian Times.
The duo visited some of Croatia's finest wineries and are set to compile an extensive report on the country's ability to produce top-quality wine for an upcoming issue.
"On the basis of previous knowledge, we expected a beautiful country with nice cuisine and equally good wines, but that which we tasted was much more than that - it was excellent," the pair told the news source.
Such words from experts may serve as evidence for many potential tourists that a holiday in Croatia is a good idea.
The Dubrovnik Tourist Board says the southern part of the Dalmatian coast is a particularly special place for making wine.
