Travel to Croatia for music of Sigmund Romberg
01 November 2010Fans of Sigmund Romberg, one of the great composers of 20th century classical music, may never have a greater incentive to travel to Croatia.
The musician, who lived much of his life in the US, was also known for residing in the small town of Belisce, where locals still celebrate his achievements.
People who take a holiday in Croatia over the next month are likely to be in pole position to enjoy the Romberg Music Evenings.
These are due to take place on all the Saturdays in November and will draw to a close on December 3rd, giving tourists more than a month to travel to Croatia and take in the operatic experience.
According to the Croatian National Tourist Board, the events are dedicated to the promotion of local amateur dramatics.
Holidaymakers who enjoy more mainstream tunes could also find what they are looking for in Croatia over the coming months, with both Sting and Bon Jovi due to play in the country.
