Travel to Croatia for performance by legendary pianist
26 October 2010An upcoming performance by classical pianist Evgeny Igorevitch Kissin may trigger a raft of bookings for accommodation in Croatia next month.
The Russian musician is set to play pieces by Chopin and Robert Schumann in the capital on November 9th, reports the Croatian Times.
Kissin's concert will go ahead in the Vatroslav Lisinski concert hall, 24 hours after English singer Sting also takes to the stage in the city.
The pianist has been playing the instrument for almost all of his 39 years and rose to fame during the mid-1980s in his home country, the newspaper explains.
Some of the industry's highest awards have been bestowed upon Kissin, as his career has allowed him to play with a selection of the world's finest orchestras and composers, including Sir Andrew Davis, Daniel Barenboim and Sir Georg Solti.
For many, the gig may be a chance to travel to Croatia for a unique musical double-header, taking in both Kissin's show and Sting's concert.
