Travel to Croatia to visit popular museum

People with a passion for art may wish to travel to Croatia in order to visit a popular museum after it celebrated its first anniversary over the weekend.

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb celebrated the conclusion of its first 365 days open to the public on Saturday (December 11th) with a special event, reports the Croatian Times.

It opened its doors free of charge for people to meet local artists and curators, as well as sit back and enjoy a variety of musical performances and theatre shows.

A bus service was put on to take tourists and residents of the city alike to the exhibition centre from central Zagreb, explains the newspaper.

Although those planning to travel to Croatia have missed the anniversary bash, there is nothing to stop them heading to the capital city and taking a closer look at examples of top-class artwork.

One option when making such a trip is to book flights to Croatia with budget airline easyJet, which has opened a route between the UK and Zagreb.
