Travel to Dubrovnik for carnival's final day

With Dubrovnik Carnival currently ongoing, fun seekers have only a short time remaining to arrange travel to Croatia in order to catch the end of the celebrations.

The final day of the carnival is scheduled for March 8th, when the street parties, musical performances and parades will draw to a close for another year.

According to the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, the best spots to head to on the last day are City Cafe and Theatre Marin Drzic.

As well as music, theatre and parties, visitors may expect a taste of authentic Croatia in the form of some of Dubrovnik's local delicacies.

Perhaps first on the menu for many will be seafood, with the region renowned for its catches from the nearby Adriatic Sea – and oysters are a particularly favourite.

Indeed, the organisation has recently confirmed details of the Festival of Oysters, which will take place in the ancient city on March 20th.
