Travel to Dubrovnik for chance to meet stars such as Mickey Rourke

Film buffs could book up accommodation in Dubrovnik now ahead of the Libertas Film Festival.

The event, which is due to take place in early July, usually attracts a host of celebrities and film fans from across the world.

Indeed, last year actor Mickey Rourke took some time out in Dubrovnik to enjoy the festival and watch a number of the movies that were screened at it.

Meri Matesic, director at the Croatian National Tourist Office in London, admits organisers do not know in advance which stars will show up, but if the names of previous guests are anything to go by the chance of rubbing shoulders with an A-lister is high.

The festival is an opportunity for both European and worldwide film makers to showcase their latest productions.

Staying in a Dubrovnik villa on the Dalmatian coast will offer guests both easy access to the event and picturesque views of the Adriatic Sea.
