12 January 2011Tourists now have less than a month remaining in which to book their accommodation in Croatia and travel to Dubrovnik for the city's famous carnival.
Kicking off on February 4th, the festival will feature music, dance, theatre and dozens of local traditions and delicacies – all of which could give visitors an authentic taste of life in the popular resort.
The event will begin in front of St Blaise church in the heart of the ancient city at 20:00 local time, with a surprise guest and background music provided by the Dubrovnik Brass Orchestra.
Following this ceremony, a party will get underway with holidaymakers and residents celebrating all that is great about Dubrovnik.
The carnival will then run for more than a month, giving plenty of time for those not set on attending the opening to attend.
As well as the fun of the carnival, guests staying in accommodation in Croatia can enjoy the city's historic walls and the crystal-clear seas of the Adriatic.
