Travellers to Croatia can enjoy Zagreb Air Show

People travelling to Croatia for a break in the sun this weekend could opt to take in an air festival while they are there.

Airport Lucko is gearing up to host the Zagreb Air Show and Open Air Festival, which is to be held on Sunday (August 29th), reports the Croatian Times.

This year's event is a particularly special one as it will be the first time in a century that a Penkala craft has been flown through the sky.

Other highlights include the first air race in Croatia, as well as a race between a native plane and a foreign-built machine, the newspaper reveals.

When the fun in the sky has been completed, attention will turn to the ground once more, with a host of musical acts such as S3mgs, Zadruga and Kino Klub booked to perform.

The Croatian National Tourist Board says the country is a good location for those willing to get in the cockpit themselves, with a number of clubs available for budding pilots.
