Travellers to Croatia 'will have plenty to do at festival'
29 March 2010Those planning to attend this summer's Garden Festival in Croatia have been advised there is plenty more to do beyond music.
In just one day, tourists can go from enjoying top-class tunes to sunbathing, swimming in clear waters and joining one of the country's famous boat parties, says one festival expert.
Eddie O'Callaghan, creative director for the event, suggests the "beautiful old village" of Petrcane - where the festival is held - is open to visitors.
Just minutes from the main stage, Petrcane "really becomes part of the festival experience too", Mr O'Callaghan states.
He advises people with enough time should "explore this breathtaking area, [which is] within easy reach of secluded islands, spectacular waterfalls and stunning national parks".
Foodies should also consider a trip to Croatia for the festival, with super-fresh seafood on offer at a host of local eateries.
The Garden Festival runs from July 2nd to 11th.
