Travellers to Dubrovnik can purchase "special" jewellery

People planning to buy jewellery for a loved one may wish to travel to Dubrovnik to buy the gift from the famous city.

Dubrovnik Tourist Board notes the Dalmatian coast resort is renowned for its strong and historic links to the jewellery trade, with high-class pieces being produced in the location since the 13th century.

Indeed, the organisation suggests products crafted in the Croatian city are made with "special care, skill and artistry".

Among the highlights for those who travel to Dubrovnik for jewellery is likely to be the famous recini and puce items, which should last a lifetime.

Meanwhile, traditional silver and coral necklaces, rings and bracelets boast "timeless beauty" and "style".

As well as strolling through the Old Town's cobbled streets taking a look at the top-quality jewellery, tourists could also use their trip as a chance to walk around the city's ancient walls.

Other highlights in the resort include a cable car that takes visitors to the top of neighbouring Mount Srdj for birds-eye views of the area and the unspoilt beaches bordering the Adriatic Sea.
