Travelling to Croatia 'constantly getting easier'

Securing flights and travelling to Croatia has been getting consistently easier over recent years, according to a travel expert.

Meri Matesic, director at the Croatian National Tourist Office in London, says an abundance of flights should make a break on the Adriatic coast a realistic prospect for many people.

She explains: "Every year we have increased and added some new destinations for all the new local carriers and tour operators."

Passengers in the UK mulling over taking a Croatia holiday may be interested to hear the facts and figures offered by Ms Matesic.

She reveals some 19 airports in Britain now offer flights to spots such as Dubrovnik, Split and Zagreb.

In addition to this, there are more than 80 flights each week on a variety of routes.

Another possible reason for the growing popularity of Croatia is the fact it takes only two hours to reach from London - significantly closer than other sunshine spots such as Greece and the Canary Islands.
