Visit Croatia for traditional music festival
08 September 2010Travellers may wish to schedule a visit to Croatia for November after learning of a traditional music festival that takes place each year in the ancient resort of Pula.
Located on the Dalmatian coast within the Istria region, Pula hosts the event that offers a range of genres from different ages.
Whatsonwhen.com notes everything from classical music to jazz and folk are likely to be included in the celebration.
Those on holiday in Croatia at the time could also find they are able to listen to some of the country's native music, such as ganga and tamburica.
Among the performers to recently appear in Croatia is Seal, famous for 1994 hit Kiss From a Rose, while Guns N' Roses will visit later this month, which may emphasise the esteem in which the country is held by musicians.
Pula is the largest town in Istria and its top attractions include a Roman amphitheatre and miles of beaches stretching alongside the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea.
