Visitors could flock to Croatia for new China Town experience
16 August 2010Visitors to Croatia can now enjoy a new China Town complex in the capital city of Zagreb.
The 25,000-sq m facility was opened last week by mayor Milan Bandic after the conclusion of the €1.5 million (£1.22 million) building project, reports the Croatian Times.
It includes some 58 retail outlets, offering mainly clothing from a range of styles, such as Chinese, Croatian, Turkish and Italian.
Wei Jin, one of eight people behind China Town, tells the publication: "So far we [have] invested €1.5 million in the project, but that is only the beginning."
Mr Jin adds the combination of a top location and affordable prices would see the development continue to expand and enjoy a bright future.
It is the latest boost for those heading on holiday to Croatia with the intention of shopping, after Austrian development company m2 Immobilien was granted permission for its proposed Supernova Zagreb complex in May.
