Watch McEnroe and Ivanisevic in action on Dubrovnik holiday
03 June 2010Tennis fans may wish to book accommodation in Dubrovnik for early July to ensure they witness two greats of the game go head-to-head.
Three-time Wimbledon winner McEnroe will play against Ivanisevic, who triumphed in SW19 in 2001 after beating Tim Henman in the semi-final, in the heart of the ancient city, reports the Croatian Times.
Home favourite Ivanisevic holds a significant age advantage over his older opponent, who won seven grand slams during an illustrious career.
According to the newspaper, the match will take place in front of Knezev Dvor in Dubrovnik's old square on July 8th, four days after this year's Wimbledon final.
All of the money raised from the event will go to humanitarian causes, such as a local hospital.
Those who take a Croatia holiday to coincide with the match will not only enjoy two tennis icons in action, but also the chance to rub shoulders with the A-list celebrities due to attend.
