Winter holidays in Croatia set for heavy snowfall

People taking a holiday in Croatia this winter may be delighted to learn a flurry of snow is expected this week.

Indeed, those who are using the up-and-coming winter sports destination for an affordable skiing or snowboarding break could be especially pleased with the prediction of experts.

According to a report by the daily Jutarnji List, summarised by the Croatian Times, temperatures will plummet below zero and snow will fall in the next few days.

Meteorological chiefs believe the first white powder will sprinkle over Gorski Kotar today (November 22nd), before the capital Zagreb and Rijeka feel its effects tomorrow.

The weather trend is to be caused by a cold front that is expected to sweep across the nation, the news source explains.

More than a month ago, the same portal noted the first snow of the season had fallen in Croatia before the end of October – indicating a good winter for those who would like the substance in place for their trip.
