Zagreb festival may attract music fans to Croatia
16 April 2010People searching for a break in one of Europe's most historic spots may be wise to book a holiday in Croatia in the coming weeks.
Zagreb is currently holding its annual Festival of St Mark, for which the city centre, political and administrative district and downtown are all transformed into a vibrant music scene.
Using venues that date back several centuries, organisers provide locals and travellers to Croatia alike with a series of virtuoso concerts and performances.
The Croatian National Tourist Board is anticipating a plethora of "breathtaking" acts at the event.
As well as the musical dates, visitors could enjoy the plays and films on offer in the city.
For fans of the arts with a desire to travel around Croatia, a visit to Split - famous for its extensive range of theatres - may be on the cards.
The Festival of St Mark began yesterday (April 15th) and runs until May 8th.
