The city is hosting the 32nd ordinary UEFA congress in its international expocentre, Hypo Expo XXI.
Delegates from all 53 member states of UEFA will attend what is described by the association as European football's annual parliament.
A number of issues will be up for debate, including the state of UEFA's finances and preparations for the Euro 2008 tournament.
The tournament is set to take place in Austria and Switzerland between June 7th and June 29th.
Croatia qualified for this summer's competition after finishing top of a group that also featured England.
The Croatian national team helped ensured their English counterparts would not be playing competitive football in the summer by beating them both home and away.
In the last qualifying game Croatia beat England 3-2 at Wembley to seal the home side's fate.
