Zagreb photography festival poised to begin

Visitors to Croatia this week may want to enjoy a photography exhibition in Zagreb.

The Organ Vida Festival - which translates as 'the second organ of sight' - will feature around 45 black and white photographs, reports the Croatian Times.

It is taking place at the student centre on Savska Street tomorrow (October 30th).

As well as the exhibition - which includes work by 24 Croatian photographers - there will be a workshop run by the Cahayabox photo studio.

Art lovers in the capital this week may feel it is the perfect way to spend time on their half-term holiday to Croatia.

The aim of the festival is to promote art and photography to younger people in Croatia.

Ten lucky visitors to the event will win the chance to create their own album with top-of-the-range equipment and guidance from a professional photographer.

It was reported this week that a new dance centre has opened in Zagreb - arguably making the city a dream destination for fans of the arts.
