Zagreb summer celebrations set to be enjoyed by tourists
30 March 2010Travellers to Croatia next month will be able to join in with a range of events in Zagreb, as the city starts its summer celebrations.
Its Time Machine festival begins on April 17th and lasts until late September, the Croatian National Tourist Board explains.
Activities to take place each year include walking through the streets of the Upper Town, the singing of parlour ballads and dancers performing the waltz and the tango.
It is also an ideal opportunity to learn more about the history of Croatia's capital and some of its oldest buildings and attractions.
Some people on a Croatia holiday may wish to visit Zrinjevac park in the city centre, where "enchanting" music and dancing will be on offer, the body notes.
Earlier this month, the Zagreb Tourist Board revealed an exhibition featuring more than 200 paintings of the city through its history was to open and would admit visitors until April.
